The ISTA Performing Arts Academy Shanghai is excited to announce our next event in
2020 - "ONE GIANT LEAP" February 29 - March 3rd.
It's a Leap Year, and what better way to celebrate a leap year on a leap day than taking ONE GIANT LEAP into your creative imagination.
We will be bringing one of ISTA's best practitioners to Shanghai to encourage and help the students ' imaginations come to life in Drama and Physical Theatre, as they search and explore their creative minds to bring to life "ONE GIANT LEAP".
Dates: Saturday February 29 - Sunday March 1, 2020
Ages: Grade 3 - 10
Cost: 1400RMB or 'Early bird' discounted price if registered before Jan 17 of 1000RMB

What happens during the weekend?
The students work under the guidance of their ISTA qualified practitioner to explore the title. Through collaborative brainstorming, play and exploration of movement, sound and many other performing arts skills, they create their very own show from scratch to show parents, family, friends and the community in a safe and curious environment.
Technical Theatre Opportunity
During this particular weekend event we are also offering a special stream for students who are interested in backstage and theatre production. Students can apply to participate in this weekend as part of the Tech Group. They will interact and collaborate with the other students and activities, there will be set times for this group to explore Audio, Lighting and Projection for live entertainment. These students will collaborate on the showing by contributing the technical production elements of the performance. Tech group has a limited number to ensure authentic and valuable hands on experience and is open to students from grade 8 – 10.
